If you have ever had a Pepe’s Pizza before; you are going to love that they are going to be one of the newest additions to one of Massachusetts favorite malls! And If you have not had a chance to try one of their pies? Well you will simply have to try one as soon as construction is complete! The good news is that construction has already begun for the growing chain; Pepe’s taking the place of the former Uno’s in the Burlington Mall and is much anticipated for their one-of-a-kind coal fired pizza’s. Previously opened locations in the Chestnut Hill Mall, and on Rt 2 in Warwick Rhode island will give you a taste of what it's all about if you don’t think you can wait! Once Burlington is open you will be able to step in side and watch as they make your pizza right in front of you. The large paddle area allows for their staff to roll out fresh dough straight onto the paddle, load it with your favorite toppings, and carefully place it directly into their signature coal fired oven to cook. You will be amazed as you watch them cook these old-school pizza’s while you wait. Speaking of waits don’t expect to be able to catch a “quick” bite at Frank Pepe’s! You cannot rush perfection, and although a pizza may only take about 15-20 minutes to turn around when everyone in town want’s a bight, they may have a few pies to turn before they get to yours. Make sure to keep an eye out for updates as we go along so that you can get ready to pick up the phone and call ahead to order or make a reservation as soon as they open. If you can make some time to stop in and eat your pizza hot and fresh; it is the first 5 minutes out of the oven that a Pepe’s Pizza is it’s absolute best. But SHHHHHHHHH! We can’t announce the opening yet, so make sure to check back for updates!
Although we are steadily moving along with construction and are happy to be pairing with Filo Construction to make this happen, we have to thank Jack Simmons who very sadly is no longer with us, for this wonderful opportunity to build for Pepe’s Pizza. Jack came to us to help out with the Burlington Build last winter. In the time we knew him we found him to be a wonderful, kindhearted man that the world is at a loss without. Jack was taking us under his wing to bring in a new GC for Frank Pepe’s since he was getting older and did not have a Massachusetts license. He passed away unexpectedly on November 9th after construction had just started. Jack, we hope to make you proud and miss you dearly; Rest in Peace.
The partnership with Henley VIOC continues as we make our way down to Maryland! JWH Construction will be taking on two new ground-up Valvoline’s. If you happen to be in the area look for us in East Baltimore as well as Bel Air. This will be the companies first time in the state and we look forward to continuing our relationship with Henley as well as meeting some new subcontractors while we are there doing our builds.
After a few small VOIC projects to forefront 2018, Henley decided that JWH Construction was next to build their new Weymouth store. This new four bay location was unique for both JWH as well as Henley. For us; it was a new opportunity to break ground after many years of recession driven renovation projects. For Henley, the new location came with some new design aspects that they had not yet previously implemented. This location featured a four bay service area that could service not just your consumer vehicles, but larger fleet vehicles and trucks as well. A new slab design was also integrated allowing VIOC to embed their standard car lifts into the garage bay’s finish floor. Being the trial run, extra coordination and field modifications where necessary to get over the hurdles created by setting the lifts directly on the structures pre-cast planks and to accommodate the larger loads needed to carry fleet vehicles.
